Historical Minnesota Shooting Plaque
From Capt. Bob Peasley:
"Sep. 3, 09 This plaque was won by John Andres Sr. in about 76 at Camp Ripley & the match was never run again. John has graciously donated it for a GS (Grand Senior) plaque and I had the original brass plate attached to the back. I have paid for the new plate & engraving. So from here on it will just cost MRRA 17 cts per character to have the name and year engraved. I also took the liberty to back date last years name on the plate so it's off & running. .......
HOLDHARD,
Bob"
And from George Minerich:
"Hi All: Just so everyone knows the logo in the upper left is the MN Army National Guard STARC Unit emblem (state support group) and it's still in use. The emblem on the upper right is the Viking Unit emblem which is the old MN emblem which is out of use now. Its changed to the 34 Div. Red Bulls. The towers and gates are the main gate to Camp Ripley. I like it!
Regards George"
Thanks Guys, Its great to learn a little history behind our sport
