Shooters News for the Mnn Area - June 21, 2014

EXTRA ! EXTRA !     Perfect weather for Mid Range Champs !

This story starts out -- "It was the perfect shooting day..."
and it was.  After what, it seems like, endless weekends of bad weather for rifle matches, today made up for it.  35 folks turned out to fire the Regional Mid Range Team Championship at Elk River Sportsman's Club today in what anybody would call "Perfect" conditions. It was all shot from the 600 yd line under Bluebird sky's, gentle breezes, on a nice warm summer day for 8 four shooter teams. The competition was good because the 'gentle' breezes were constantly switching from side to side and that kept wind coaches in the game with one eye on the mirage and the other on the wind flag at the 300 yd line. Plenty of high scores were turned in.

Tomorrow -- Sunday we all shoot the "Individual" match and hope that you will join us.  Maybe it will be another great day at Elk Rivers top notch shooting facility.
